Anger and such strong feelings as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation can be suppressed but when a trigger point is reached, it lets out a tsunami of negative emotions with devastating life-changing, life-destroying consequences including but not limited to knife crimes, gun crimes, destructive behaviour, sinful habits and ultimately, self-destruction.
Paraphrasing Proverbs 22:24-25, we gathered that we are not to make friends with anyone with bad temper for if we do, we may inadvertently ensnare our souls by learning the way of a hot-tempered person.
Also, that anger resides in the bosom of fools, meaning that a person is a fool who cannot deal with the destructive tendencies of his anger. Ecclesiastes 7:9.
Anger is a letter short of Danger.
An angry man is an ugly man.
An angry man is a dangerous man – He is dangerous to himself and to people around him.
Anger removes the beauty of life from the face of the angry man. When you get angry, check out your face in the mirror!
Only Jesus Christ can remove the root causes of bitterness, anger, anxiety and unforgiveness from the Adamic nature of the soul of a man and make him Christ-like, Regenerated New Man. Come to Jesus today, He will make you brand new in Him.
Reach out to someone who can help you if you have issues in dealing with an uncontrolled rush of adrenaline that can results in unwanted consequences. When angry: pause, take a deep breath, relax and let go!
May the joy of the Lord be your strength. Amen.
